On the eve of the April 8 runoff election, University of Texas University Democrats held a rally to get out the student vote for District Attorney candidate Mindy Montford. The UT U Dems endorsed Montford in January. "The members of our organization are confident in the positive changes and new ideas Montford will bring to the D.A.'s office." said Laura Hernandez, president of the group. "This community needs Montford's experience in Travis County as a successful prosecutor to move forward and uphold justice for everyone."
